More often than not, mom and I find ourselves at the local antique shops peppered throughout our surrounding neighborhoods. It’s always a fun adventure, mom likes to dig through the old record crates seeking out hard to find recordings, while I browse the many unique displays in search of rare and one of a kind finds.

If you are looking for one of a kind items, or just looking for a cool item that blasts you back to the past, antiquing is the way to go. Great for both male and female alike, young and old, black or white and everything in between. Antiquing is an activity most would enjoy. There’s nothing like spotting that perfect arm-chair for your studio or finding a one of a kind dress from the 50’s that fits perfectly. How about finding that awesome life-size figure of your favorite old school actor for the frat house?!

The antique malls we visit usually have individual spaces where vendors display there blasts from the pasts for your picking, while others have items sprinkled throughout the store’s layout.

Don’t knock it until you try it, it’s kind of like going in grandma’s attic or your uncle’s basement and finding all kinds of awesome throwbacks. Its like walking into a time capsule.
