If you don’t already know I like creating and recreating and this go round I have my eyes set on DIY lip color using Crayola Crayons. Yes, that’s right crayons. Now before you get all, “oh, I’m not doing that” and “crayons are for paper,” think about it.
One, 3 year olds eat crayons everyday in class, hell you just may have been one crayon munching tots and they and you are just fine. Two, there are no [toxic] chemicals being used. Some of the glosses, stains, and lipsticks in your collection are more harmful that crayons. Last but not least, three, its cheap fun and easy, so why hate take part in these colorful antics.
Enough of my blabbing…check out the fun photos below and a :15 sec video on how to create your very own lip color (the link is below).
Things you will need:
1 Crayola Crayon – (only use Crayola, great pigments and most importantly non-toxic)
1/2 – 1 Tsp Carrier Oil – (coconut, olive, vegetable, sunflower, almond, and so on)
Stove
Pot
Heat safe bowl
ALL OF THE PIGMENTS PICTURED WERE CREATED FROM ONE CRAYON AND A BIT OF OIL, I’VE TRIED BOTH SUNFLOWER AND VEGETABLE OIL, i AM GOING TO TRY OTHER CARRIER OILS NEXT GO ROUND.
